I'm looking for suggestions, please! We have many ghosts or spirits in this house...most of them are relatives checking in others we believe are associated with the land and geographic area itself rather than this houe or it's occupants. The problem is that occasonally someone builds up enough kinetic energy to be able to throw something (day before yesterday it was a heavy shadow box type shelf off of the wall in the basement. All earthly occupants in upstairs room at time of incident, thrown across the room, we heard it hit, etc). Does anyone know of a good way to communicate (other than EVP) to find out what's going on? The last 'thrower' we had was a 120 lb bookshelf that managed to "fall" off the wall but not before depositing it's contents on top of it in a neat stack with the John Edwards book we were looking for on top of it. A friend's husband had recently died and the book was to be lent to her. Message received on that one and we haven't heard from him since but this new one is a mystery.

Inland Empire Paranormal Group looking for a few good ....

Investigators!

Golden State Paranormal Research Society is looking for two more people to round out our team.
We would like someone with experience but we will train someone if they are interested and meet the criteria. We cover mostly the Inland Empire area in S. Calif (If you don't know where that is, you probably don't want to join). Members need to be residents in the I.E. area or very close by. You will be required to attend meetings and group planned trips and community events in order to go to investigations. It's not all play with GSPRS - it's a little work too.

There are a few guidelines, however:

- You must be over 21 **NO EXCEPTIONS**
- Be willing to allow a background investigation
- Must not be involved with groups that habitually trespass on private property in the name of ghost hunting. Sorry our group is legit. We don't trespass.

If you are tired of running with the teenagers looking for a free thrill and have been searching for a professional and organized group of grown-ups - drop me a PM and let's talk!
We will ask you a series of questions regarding how you are and why you want to become a paranormal investigator as well as a host (several pages worth) of other questions. Having your own equipment is a + but does not guarantee your acceptance in the group.

The Old Hag

Just got done wading through all of the "first experiences" thread. Facinating stories, guys. Thanks for sharing them.

I've been a researcher/investigator of paranormal phenomenon for a few years now and wanted to know if any of you ever heard/seen a particular and unusual type of apparition known popularly as the "old hag." A dear friend of mine used to see this when she was in her pre-teen years and describes the sight of a very old, haggard looking female figure in the middle of the night with straw-like grey/white hair (some report even a top-hat) that, when she notices the attention, scurries across the room toward the still abed observer on her tip-toes and kneels or presses down on the chest making breathing very difficult. Her breath is often described as very malodorous, her fingernails long and filthy and there's a distinct air of gleeful mallevolence about the apparition. An altogether unpleasant and frightening experience.

Have any of you heard of this particular phenomenon and/or experienced it yourselves?

I'm not exactly new to the tribe. Been kinda lurking around in the background, reading the topics and replies. I decided now would be a good time to pop up. SO HI! (wave)
I have an interesting story about some experiences I've been having. I don't really know what to make of it all.
A year ago my girlfriend and I moved into a house in historic downtown Richmond Va, the Byrd Park area if anyone knows it. Our house is the only house on the block that is one story and looks to have been built much more recently then all the other homes. Shortly after moving in I began having trouble sleeping in the bedroom. Anywhere else in the house I was fine. But back there....... uncomfortable, oppressive, sometimes just down right depressing feelings. I spent 3 months sleeping on the couch in my own home. Finally I got some good medication and started sleeping in the bed. I figured, if I was taking tranquilizers and sleep aides then I wouldn't notice the feelings. Shortly after my move back into the bedroom I began to notice noises in our attic right above the bed. There isn't any room to move around up there, especially not that far back in the attic. I compare the sounds to that of a 5 or 6 year old running and bouncing around and jumping up down. Just to note, there is no "flooring" in the attic, just exposed beams. I wrote it off as squirrels until I was told by my girlfriend that the noise escalates in strength and frequency when I spend the night out of the house. She made it sound like "it" was mad that I wasn't there.
A few months after that, after having gotten at least used to the noises, my girlfriend woke up one morning and said the skin on her sternum hurt. I looked and there were 5 vertical scratches about an inch long each in her flesh. Not like finger nail scratches or light welts as if you scratched an inch, but as if someone had dragged a needle across her skin. No blood, no puffiness, just the red scratches. I was a little concerned but still being half asleep I didn't think about it much. It wasn't until a few days later that I realized that the same thing had happened before with other significant others I had had. Strange, unexplained, random thin scratches showing up on people I had been sleeping next to in houses that were not this one. It's happened to at least three of my ex's in three different houses. It's never happened to me though. Now things have started to escalate a bit more. In my previous house I had a cat, Mr. Zigalicious. I couldn't bring him here with me. Two nights ago I saw a shadow in my kitchen that was very cat like and as my attention was else where I thought to myself "It's just Ziggy". Ziggy's not here. Never has been. There have been other shadows. Day or night. The noise in the attic only seems to be over wherever I am. Feelings that someone is in the room with me. I was sitting in the passenger seat of my girlfriends car, alone, and was looking out my window at the house and it felt AND sounded as if someone had sat in the driver seat. No one had gotten into the car. Aside from the scratches, none of these other things have ever happened in any other house before.

I hate to feel conceited and think that this "something" is only specifically "mine". But I'm at a loss as to what I SHOULD think.
Any ideas or comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Haunting Evidence

I had the great fortune to be able to meet and spend some time with Patrick Burns of Haunting Evidence last weekend at the Queen Mary.

First of all he's just great. Friendly, outgoing, warm, and very down to earth. He was very impressive and INCREDIBLY interesting to talk to.

I had heard of his show but had never been able to find it on TV. I went specifically hunting for it. Supposedly it's on Court Tv which is now Reality TV, yet I still cannot find a flippin time. I would really like to watch this show as I had the opportunity to hang out with him in the pool room at the Queen Mary for a bit. He wasnt one of those types that thinks everything everywhere has a ghost in a corner. I want to see his show.

Can anyone shed some light on when this show airs?

CAMERAS

I'm in the market to buy a new camera. My budget is 300 - 500 bucks.

You guys do what I do. I figure some of you must have some good suggestions.

I do not care if the camera has video. It is not important to me so much.

I DO care if I can get a higher dpi output - 300 dpi instead of 72 for example.....

I would rather have a bigger heavier camera over some credit card sized thing I can hide in my purse. I lose small things too easily. I want something that hurts my foot if I drop it on my foot .... not that I would ever drop my camera, but in theory ....

Opinions and suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance

San Francisco Ghost Hunting

I'm Philo, psychic intuitive, paranormal enthusiast, looking for others in San Francisco who might want to get together and do some informal late-night ghost hunting, evolving into forming a group of people who bring different things to the group and work well together to do something formally. T.A.P.S. Halloween Investigation ...

I don't know how many of you watched it. I watched until a little after 9:30 and then I turned off all of the decorations and called it a night. It was SO SO boring. I realize stuff doesnt always happen and I've seen dull episodes before. Sometimes nothing happens.

What I couldn't get over was that WWF or WWE wrestler or whatever they call themselves this year. Every time he opened his mouth all I wanted for him to do was just shut UP. The credibility of Paranormal Investigation is hard enough to prove solid as it is without having a fakey fake lycra wearing steriod freak waxing poetic and incessantly babbling about his feelings of the paranromal.

Plus the annoying background music was killing me. They've been doing the music more and more. It seems, right at points when people hear stuff. Grant says "did you hear that" and Jason says "Yeah I did" and we couldnt because their crappy background spook-a-vator music was playing and we couldnt hear nothin.

So, did anyone here go to Univ-Con 6 at State College, PA? My husband and I did and it was a blast. I was really impressed with the calabre of lectures presented this year.

If anyone's curious about what went on, feel free to check my last blog. I talked about the events and lectures I attended (just to avoid redundancy).

I know that in late September there was another paranormal conference in Rhode Island- did anyone attend that one? I'd be curious to hear about it actually.

Also, there's one coming up soon in San Fransisco for you West Coasters. Unfortunately I don't have any details, but I did hear a few of the presenters discussing flying out that way for it.

Riverside Cemetary ...

If any So. Cal locals are watching ..... have you ever visited the Riverside Cemetary at the base of Rubidoux mountain?

My Physical Therapists office is over there and I wandered across it today leaving. I drove around it. Creeeeeeepy. It does show up on the haunted heartland list online as well as a few other lists of S. Cal hauntings.

The cemetary is undergoing rehab right now. It's pretty delapitated and is very sad and pathetic. I got a very wierd feeling when I looked into certain parts of the cemetary and in other parts I was just fine. I have another PT appointment tomorrow and am going to take my camera along. I need to get some tomb stone shots for a project and maybe if I'm lucky I'll get some additional shots of interesting stuff - or at least shots of the site to bring back and share :)

Hi everyone, big ghost hunters fan here. I just found out the season 3 dvd's will be out in october by the same production company that did the last season. I really hope the audio is much better on this season than Season 2...the audio sucked big time, almost impossible to hear at some points. I guess we will see....anyway I am glad its coming out just in time for Halloween.

Ok did I miss an announcement somewhere? Where did Ghost Hunters go? I turn down the commercials when they come on the SciFi channel because they are several decibels louder than the show I was just watching. So sometimes legit stuff I need to hear, I won't if the phone rings or I'm in the kitchen.

I saw the old episode which was better than how they did it last week, but wheres the new one. And why does the SciFi channel think that some hokey ass movies are a good substitute?

That movie last night had more bad acting than the B rated movie awards cerimony. My cats ass hair has more talent.

If SciFi wants to alternatively run something to keep the ghost fan crowd interested they are going to have to work harder than some crappy as bad B rated movie.

Being inconsistent is the best way to loose your target audience.

I am sure I was paying attention last week. Didn't they say that this week was supposed to be the season finale? Which brings me to another question .... didn't the new episodes just start just recently? WTF is up with the SciFi channel. If you look at the schedule the SciFi NJ Affiliate managed to put on at LEAST reruns which would have been better than that pathetic show they put on.

I heard a rumor that Sci Fi won't be running Ghost Hunters anymore? W.T.F. people. I mean really. W.T.F. someone tell me that this isnt true.

"There's more physical evidence that UFOs exist than there's physical evidence that Jesus Christ existed," the Colorado Springs resident and reserve sheriff's deputy said.

Zukowski was one of about 70 people, ranging from college students to retired professionals, who flocked to the Tivoli Student Center at the Auraria Campus on Saturday to talk about evidence of unidentified flying objects and convince skeptics.

No bug-eyed costumes with dangling Slinkys were in sight at the annual Colorado UFO Briefing. It was serious business.

"The evidence is simply overwhelming," said James Carrion, international director of the Mutual UFO Network, a national group that studies sightings.

Carrion used to flip through his mom's National Enquirer magazines when he was 11, sparking his interest in the topic. At that time, the tabloid actually used to hire real investigators to dig for information, he said.

The 38-year-old network is the world's largest UFO investigative group, with 2,500 members and 800 field investigators, Carrion said. Devouring thick books and attending seminars is a requirement to become a certified investigator.

Jefferson County resident Rick Nelson said he once saw three barrel-shaped objects fluttering in the sky over Arvada. One of the shimmering gold and copper things was about one-quarter mile away before it shot to the sky and out of sight, he said.

"Anyone who spends time researching it can't dismiss it," he said.

Colorado has a disproportionately high number of UFO sightings - about 5 to 12 a month out of a national 150, according to the Bellvue-based group.

It's unclear why, said Alejandro Rojas, the group's education director.

"We have a lot of cutting-edge (air) defense going on here," he said, explaining part of the sightings spike.

An annual UFO conference is set for Aug. 10-12 at the Denver Tech Center Marriott, where the negatives of McMinnville, Ore., UFO photos - pictures declared authentic by a group of University of Colorado scientists - will be shown to the public for the first time, Carrion said.

Ancient Chinese believed the day of Duanwu was unluchy because midsummer was just around the corner. The hot weather used to bring various diseases, which could spread rampantly. Dispelling disease and driving out evil were the main purpose of the festival. People would paste on their front doors pictures of Zhongkui,a legendary Chinese Since children are generally the most vulnerable to disease, they received extra care at this special time. Children would wear necklaces or bracelets, made of red, yellow, blue, white and black threads, to keep evil away from them. they would also receive colorful pouches containing fragrant herbal medicines as presents. They hung these around their necks, and would compete with one another to see whose pouch had the finest needlework. Mothers also made sure to bathe their children in water boiled with berbal medicines. Modern science has proven that these medicines are, in fact, quite beneficial to health.

The World's Worst Ghost Hunter

It's me!

So the other night I'm hanging out with the caretaker of the Redwood Mosque that is next door to where I'm staying & he tells me that this whole place is sacred Native American land. We are having a few beers by this 'natural' pool (it's now lined with cement ~ although fish swim in it & a turtle popped it's head out to say "hi") that was once the gathering place for many local tribes who came to celebrate the special healing waters here. My new friend, Manuel, says that down in the town of Fairfax, some of the locals told him that this whole place is supposed to be 'haunted' & Manuel finds it quite psychically "crowded" himself ~ he says that he can't walk outside after dark without *seeing* something spooky.

I've felt nothing "unusual" since I started staying here in December! Although, I guess I'm used to "psychically crowded" places already ~ like my old apartments & my head!

My parents once rented an old house in Newport, RI for the summer that was on the local list of "officially haunted houses" in the area ~ I spent a few weeks there & felt nothing "unusual" either ~ although the place spooked both my brother & aunt. I'm up in the attic, at midnight, with a candle ~ attempting to make contact & I think the "ghosts" just laugh at me! They then 'appear' to other members of my family who are a bit more 'startled' by the sight.....

Am I 'trying' too hard? I don't know how to do anything else.... I just happen to 'like' ghosts & I guess that makes me somewhat 'immune' to their shenanigans..... sure, I've had a couple of 'sightings' ~ but so has everybody! It's difficult to find anyone who hasn't encountered a few 'unexplainable' things in their life ~ even if they don't count these things as actual "ghosts".

I've been told on a few occasions that I have more than the 'regular' amount of spirits hanging around me & that my aura is 'unusually bright' (one person told me that I could guide ships into SF Bay!). My ghost friend (one of the few that I've *seen*) told me that I was the brightest thing he'd seen in a while, when I told him to "go to the light".... the flatterer!

But now I'm kinda annoyed! I feel 'welcome' here ~ no 'bad feelings' or anything ~ but we could use a bit more excitement up in these woods! It's like there's a party on my block that I'm not *seeing*!

so recently ive felt that in my sleep...someone was controlling my body...and shortly there after saw a figure of a man that disappeard...this actually stopped for a while..when i told it to go away...but recently occured to someone i was dating that was sleeping over....i dont understand why this is happening or what i should do...please can anyone help?

I have only seen on spirt that I know for sure to be a goast and not a demon(unless it was a demon trick)
It was a dope dealer that had gotten shot and killed while I was in jail......m and my girlfriend were driveing by his dope corner one night ahnd as we passed I saw him leaning into a CAR LIKE HE WAS MAKING A SELL...IT DIDN'T OCCUR TO ME AT FIRST THEN I LOOKED IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROW AS HE WAS COMMING UP OUT OF THE CAR AND HE LOOKED RIGHT THROUGH ME....THEN I REMMEMBERED HE HAD DIED I STARTED SCREEMEING AND MY GIRLFRIEND ALMOST WRECKED
I DID'NT TELL HER TILL WE GOT HOME......SHE HAD TOO ROCK ME TO SLEEP

Yesterday i had this weird experience over the phone. I was making a phone call and once i'm done dialing i hear no tone (busy nor ringing) but i do hear my moms boyfriend voice (he past away 9 days ago), he was calling her. This happen 3 times! every time i would call, i would hear him calling her.
Can they communicate like this?

Taps - Ireland and the UK

Okay, what does anyone think?
The taps crew (minus Steve and Donna) investigate a 1200 yr old castle in Ireland.

I want to believe.
One of the problems I have, is that the things these folks experience almost never seems to be well documented on film (though there have been some interesting moments); but we keep trying to keep an open mind. Yes, we do see a few blurry clips of things here and there ... video that suggests ... but I want more.

It was interesting that we now see the taps crew encrouching on the travel channels hysterica / theatrical "taps wana-bes".
Now I see why that english crew did a sort of "Most Hanunted" marathon show one day before TAPs did their all nighter at the Stanley.

Was there a green orb?
How did the one guy end up on the ground? Could he have bumped into something and then tripped in the dark?

Ireland is actually pretty tech savvy; could the face be a hologram? Don't get mad at me for asking questions.

So far my feelings tell me that the taps people are sincere - not trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

I was wondering if anyone here may have had a similar incident. I was at my parents house in Pa, to care for my mother, who had breast cancer. Withing a few days of my getting there, she had taken a turn for the worse, and we had to take her to a hospice, as my father would not have been able to handle losing her at home. We took her on a Sat. Sunday night, I was talking to my then boyfriend on the phone, just before going to bed. It was about 12:40 or so, when I had hung up, and was going to watch tv to fall asleep, so I could take dad to see mom in the morning.
Just as I hung up the phone, I was shoved, as I was laying on my left side. I was was shoved so I ended on my stomach. I dozed off, and was awoken by my father, stating my mom had passed. I found our=t she had passed at 12:40 am.
Did my mother try to get my attention? Was she trying to get me to bring my father to the hospital? I have no other explaination for this.

I just looked throught my vacation pictures. When i was at the torture museum in amsterdam i took a picture of the iron maiden of nuremberg. One picture is without a flash, and the other one is with a flash.. Strangly, the faces looks so different, and isent there teeths showing!!?? Have a look at the picture gallery here and say what you think about this. Tried to google on this subject but nothing is told.. Looks like a pretty haunted object to me. Freaky stuff..

hello all, im new, today is my first day!!!! i am a total armchair ghost hunter right now, and want to do more, but have no one willing to go with me, i have been looking up ghosts on the net, and ran across the amnitiville story, i am torn between the house being haunted or not...i have read a few opinions regarding "based on" stories, and i just dont know about this story, only being 27, i wasnt even born when the murders happened, but do remember the movie very vividly!!!! i would love to hear opinions on this matter

hi all! are there any more addicts of the ghost of a series, scariest places on earth??? i am still pissed they took it off the air. fox family was bought by disney and they don't like that topic. crappy. my cracker-ass-cracker family and i auditioned for the show and they really liked us. they said they already had their quota of white bread families but they'd keep us in mind for the next season. the show that they were casting for was filled by an african american family that went to an island in italy (I think? it's been so long) that was once an insane asylum. it was prolly the best show ever. so is there anyone out there who would totally love to be on a show (or situation) such as this show? Fear on Mtv was cool too but i think that was more set up. i was always so pissed when the yuppie girl refused to go forward. that's what i said in the audition... i won't stop cause i'm scared. i know the viewers woulda appreciated me more than the girl they had in my place... she fell apart and refused to go forward. punk.

HELP...

ok Lets try this again this is the third time i have tried to post this message tonight with no prevail each time i hit submit it comes up an error...

OK i have recently bought a new home. Weird things have been happening to me since i bought the house. it sometimes feels if someone or something is attacking me. Well i have asked around for help and none yet. about a week ago i had a friend over and all the sudden my living room went cold. We both had felt something in the room then all of the sudden it was as if someone was attacking me and trying to choke me. When this episode was over which was the worse so far since normally no one except my daughter is home with me to witness it. I had bruise on my legs and back. I also had scratch marks on my throat. I went to a indian tribe localy and asked around for help the only thing i got in respose was that i needed to do a smudging. I tried this but it does not seem to have worked. things are getting bad again in the house and I need help soon ... It is almost like it is taking over my life. I am unable to eat or sleep i have lost 14 pounds since last weeks attack. I have to take sleeping pills to try to sleep and lately they have not been working. Whatever is happending in my home i need help to have it stop before Myself or someone else is seriously injured or killed .. I would appreciate any help possible on this. I know I am new to this tribe but please help me......

My first *unusual* experience/knowledge happened when I was 8. My grandfather had died a few months before, and I had a dream where he came to me, bringing one of his friends. He kept insisting that his friend was dead also.

It was about a week later, that my gandmother got word that the same friend had passed away.

This happened 3 more times. Since then, I've been very aware of presences, and had a number of times when I actually saw something.

I think I've caught a picture of an orb.

I took 2 pix in a row and the orb did not appear in the second one, and I didn't move so I know it's not a reflection. At least I think it's an orb from others I've seen, what's your opinion?

This is a little off the ghost topic but I thought I would ask you guys for more info.

I just saw the trailer for the movie "The exorcism of Emily Rose". It is the story of a woman who dies as a result of her demonic possession. Her parents and the priests are brought to trial for neglegent homicide. The film says she is American but the original girl was German. Her name was Anneliese Michel . I'm having trouble finding the original story about her.

Anyone know of any good links to get the real (not Holywood) story?

working with ghosts

Hello everyone.
I have LOTS of stories and I never know where to begin. So, I thought i would start with a small experience i had today at my work. I work in a museum that is home to at least one ghost. Today I was working up at the entrance to the museum. I was staring out one set of the double doors, watching a woman walk towards the museum. As she neared the doors, they slowly opened, letting her through, and then slowly closed once she walked through. A very cool and eerie presence was felt when this happened. But , it was peaceful at the same time.

I'm a clairsentient psychic and ghosthunter as well as paranormal consultant for movie and TV producers around the world.
I don't need to visit houses - I get feelings and visions from places around the world, from any time, place or century and on alot of occassions - I can prove I am right without leaving my chair at home.

I have had many occassions where people have asked me one simple question from the other side of the world and I have asked them not to tell me anything - and my visions are correct.
I have also been persued by a demon 8 times from another state in Australia and have medical records to show what has happened to me. I have seen ghosts visually with my eyes on several occassions but not often. One ghost went right through me and I blacked out for an hour in the car on the way home. It was at a cemetery. A few days later I found out that 10 minutes after I had left that section of a cemetery, a woman was brutally beaten and raped. The entity saved me. I was supposed to go to another cemetery on the way home for genealogical purposes but was so ill my brother kept driving. The same thing happened at the other cemetery at a time I should have been there.

Many things have happened to me, frightening and beautiful.

Please, if you delve into the paranormal and ghost hunting.......
learn how to do daily cleansers to protect yourself especially if you are an empath like I am.

Who qualifies?

Okay, in my last posting about Malakoff Diggins a few questions came to mind in reading the responses.
Is it only highly psychic or sensitive people that are given the ability to see ghosts?
If there is anyone out there who sees spirits and communicates with them, please ask the spirit how they determine who sees them, or if they have any control over it at all.
I just read the book, "Don't Kiss Them Goodbye" and the psychic talks about being at the Vietnam Memorial and describing a ghost vet she was watching to her husband. She describes how the vet heard her talking and he turned to look at her and began waving his hands in her face and she responded with, "yes I can see you".
So in reading that it didn't sound like he was intentionally trying to get her attention. So is it that the spirits are there wether we see them or not and if they happen to be recognized by a living being then they can communicate to whom ever they need to? Another thought, if a ghost is standing in a certain place and one psychic clearly sees them, does that mean all people capable of seeing spirits will definetly see them too?

Ever hear of Malakoff Diggins?

I took my family on an adventure this weekend. We like to find historical places and check them out. I didn't expect it but this place had the original gold mining town preserved and in talking to the ranger who lives in one of the preserved cabins, I got some great first hand stories. She said she has seen carriages go by in the corner of her eye, along with other rangers. She said the main home in which they give tours, many guest (including her) have seen the ghost of the wife who owned the house peeking out through the top window and she has even been caught in regular photos. The ranger said they allowed an infared camera crew upstairs and they captured many (what she called balls) orbs on the film. The ranger said they had the film tested and it couldn't be attributed to a problem with the film. The ranger said she has had so many experiences just in the museum that she talks to the spirits before she opens it to the public and had a cleansing performed in her personal cabin. It was cool and I was so hoping to see something, it's so frustrating to me not being able to see them at will. The place is up past the South Yuba River on Hwy. 49 if anyone is interested. The place is riddled with history and a cemetery filled with old wooden crosses and what looks like children's graves. Not to mention it is beautiful!!

Coloma Cemetary

Hey my wife and I traipsed around the Coloma Pioneer cemetary this weekend. We've read the books out there can anyone share any experiences they've had there or have heard about the cemetary. We ended up with a weird howling noise as we approached the back end of the cemetary. It stopped as my wife rounded the hillock getting out of sight of the back area. Definite activity going on this weekend. We know the history of the Chalmer/Vineyard House across the street, we are curious about things that have happened elsewhere aroudn the cemetary.

and you know I've seen lots of things out of the corner of my ones ....
shadow people .... maybe ..... and the E.V.P. thing hits me hard ..... since
I use to do a lot of recording experiments ..... back masking ....and so forth..
did you know that the word nature back wards is machine .....the nature machine....it seems powerful to think that we all are the nature machine...

but anyway ..I am new on this tribe sight and wanted to give a introduction to all of you......

Visual reality basis?

Hey everybody!
I was wondering how much validity you put in pictures? I am skeptical because I know I could doctor a photo right now in photoshop and I could pass it off as a sighting of something. I have never done this and am not obliged to ever do so, because my conscience is very opposed to it. As a person who has had an albeit brief encounter I tend to rely not on sight.
I learned that even sometimes when I actually see something it may be an illusion or my mind playing tricks when I am caught up in a moment. In my encounter I FELT an overwhelming presence. To me the feeling was more concrete than any picture I have ever seen.
Anybody catching my drift?

Northern California Coast

Hello,
My wife and I are planning a trip this summer up the California Coast. Nothing is definite but we are planning to go from Healdsbburg up to Eureka and then over the Trinity Alps to Redding. The plan is to stay at haunted hotels or bed & breakfasts plus visit other haunted sites as we go.

So anyone know of such sites? We have various books but were looking for those places the locals know and talk about. We found here in Woodland two places that aren't on the list but the different people went to as they grew up.

Does anyone know a good site to find video of events? I'm mostly looking for actual kinetic phenomena where solid objects apparently move on their own volition. Not so into the dubious "orb" movies which look very much like insects flying through infared nightscope beams.

The shot from Ft. Armistead was NOT doctored, I can prove it (I get accused of that with that one). I'm completely aware that it could be a camera malfunction, but it's not photoshopped. So spare me (at least) those comments.

I have a problem

Last year christmas day I was shot. The hospital recorded me to at point be clincaly dead. however I am now living prosperly ,but feel as something came back with me. this is note a joking matter prior to my shooting I had a preminition along with 3 year prior when my friend drove his car into the lake. I have an ireary feeling that comes over me at time that someone is tring to tlk to me ,but I am deaf to what they have to say. any explination......

"I was listening to an interview on NPR with ex-nun Karen Armstrong (www.npr.org/features/feature.php last night and in it, there was mention of a rare and newly diagnosed form of epilepsy that doesn't cause seizures, but instead causes the brain to misfire. Some of this misfiring can take the form of dread, paranoia, feeling like someone is looking over your shoulder, evil... or it can take the form of euphoria, seeing bright lights, light shows... and seeing God. Her comment was that a lot of people with this type of epilepsy end up going into the Church because they believe they see God or or feel the presence of evil."

"Makes me wonder how much of religion can be attributed to people with this disorder?"
