Re: living with ghosts...
Sun, January 18, 2004 - 12:55 PMMerry Meet!
Personal ghost stories.... how many do you want? My family has always seemed to attract spirit activity. I am not sure most of them could be considered ghosts but there are a couple which would fall into that arena.
One from my childhood stands out. We were renting a house in Joplin, MO. When we rented it the owner had been honest and told us he had problems keeping renters more than three months. He did not believe in ghosts but figured we deserved the warning. One night about a week after moving in, my parents and I were watching TV and the living room was filled with the smell of lavendar. My mother and I went through the rest of the house and it was only in the living room. We figured we being welcomed or at least acknowledged.
We had an active relationship with our spirit roommates. We figured there were at least two, male & female. My little brother has a mild form of C.P. When he was growing up it caused him a great deal of pain in his legs. He would get up and sit in mom's rocking chair. We would hear noise coming from the living room and go in to find my brother sleeping and the chair being rocked. The motion of the chair made it clear that it was being moved. It was not my brother moving in his sleep. Our spirit friends took care of him quite often. One night I was awakend by a shadow of an elder woman sitting on my bed. When I awoke she got up and moved out of the room. I walked out into the living room to find my brother in the rocking chair in a very ackward position. You know the kind that leaves you with a neck ache in the morning. I picked him and carried him back to his bed.
They also loved my dad's guitar. He had it hanging on the wall of his bedroom. One of them would strum the strings in the middle of the night. Dad finally sat up and told them it was late and they could play it all they wanted when he was at work.
The energy of these spirits was not cold. They would come up and put a hand on a shoulder and it was warm. One of them watched my mother work her crossword puzzles. There was a day one of our neighbors came and was going to exorcise our ghosts for us. She started chanting and had her hands held so her fingers were not touching. She said as soon as her fingers touched the ghost would be gone. My mother swore that she could feel the ghost laughing. When the woman's fingers came together she proclaimed the ghost was gone. At that moment the front screen opened and closed. A few moments later it opened again. Mom just looked up and matter of factly stated "Guess he's back."
There were many other things which ocurred but they were just part of everyday life to us. We did not live in the house more than 6 months but our reason for moving was not the ghosts. My father lost his job and we moved west.
Who's next? -

Re: living with ghosts...
Thu, April 12, 2007 - 10:55 PMHi there, I've always been facinated by the spirit world, afraid none the less, I remember my own experience when I lived with my parents. Twice While I was sleeping, I opened my eyes and seen my ex girlfriends dececed mother, and the second was a guy I never knew. I didn't know my girlfriends mother either but from photos it looked like her and she wasn't smiling. She died earlier before I met my girlfriend. Other than that I haven't seen anything. The longer I live the more and more I think this encounter was real. I just dont know? Could you tell me about what its like on a daily basis, to have these spirit people in your house, do you feel like you dont have any privacy?

Re: living with ghosts...
Sun, June 7, 2009 - 8:22 PMI know what you mean by you attract that sort of thing. i think it has alot to do with having an open mind to it all. i have always had a gift that i got from my grandmother. i am kind of like a psychic medium. i can sense spirits and i can feel what they feel. it is hard to explain. i hid it for so long and really thought i was crazy. i have seen hundreds of doctors and no one can find anything wrong, so i ignored it for so long and now i embrace it. i would see people that no one else saw. like one day me and my sister were driving down the road and i saw a woman who was holding her chest. well i told my sister to pull over because i thought someone was having a heart attack or something. i ran over to the woman and asked her if she was alright. she looked at me and held out her hands, just then i seen that her chest had a gun shot wound to it. i screamed and she disappeared. my sister kept asking me where this woman was that i thought was having a heart attack and why i screamed. i told her and she didn't know what to think. i mean i always have dreams when something bad is about to happen and warn whoever its about so my sister believed me. i warned her before that her daughter, my niece, was going to drown and to watch her closely. the next day she almost drown, so she does know that im not lying.

Re: living with ghosts...
Wed, January 28, 2004 - 8:09 AMI have one very disturbing story, it was for me anyway.
In march of 1994 my very best friend Tina passed away from complications due to diabetes. Three or four months later as I was sleeping I dreamt that I was in a meadow filled with daisies, her favorite, with her and she was telling me all about heaven and we were walking around and laughing as if she were still alive. When I woke up, I noticed an indentation on the foot my bed as if someone had sat there. as I got out of bed I saw dirt on my sheets and on my feet and on my pillow was a freshly picked daisy. -

Thu, January 29, 2004 - 6:11 AMhappened that one time. Never before and never since. I sense her sometimes like a cool breeze on a hot day, or when I get ready to do something really stupid I think I hear her. But nothing as dramatic as that morning. -

Thu, January 29, 2004 - 9:23 PMit's very long and involves the ghost of an old man, something bad and currently, a chinese laundry woman. I will have more time this weekend, and will start with the ghost of the old man from the house in Sandy, OR, at the base of Mt. Hood... -

Re: living with ghosts...
Fri, February 6, 2004 - 8:57 PMok, this isn't the story i was planning, but a piece of today... there is the ghost of a chinese laundry woman living in my new house... i just had her walk past a window, which is common for her, but then walk over to me, come "into" me and stay there for a minute, something else she does... just thought i would share... i will tell you the story of how she got here, or rather how i believe she got here soon. i have little time lately... out of towners (something i love, house guests) and much work at the moment... soon... -

Re: living with ghosts...
Wed, March 10, 2004 - 6:29 PMhas anyone ever heard of a ghost/spirit following you home? one that really, at first glance, has little to do with you? That is how I beleive we got our laundry lady. We toured the Shanghai tunnels under portland, and ever since then, there are pockets of laundry smell and the sense of not being alone all over our house, which we moved into two weeks prior to our tour of the tunnels. you can see her as a shadow apparition (sp?) coming and going, she moves clothing from bedroom floors to the laundry room, turns off lights and opens my daughter's bedroom door. sometimes you can hear footsteps coming from one end of the house going towards the laundry room. most people think i'm nuts, but we all know she is here, and even traveled to Phoenix with my husband, where my not-so-believing-in-her mom saw her twice and my husband could smell her in his bed, and he said he felt strangely loved and secure, not at all alone in the bed...
she has been more quiet and less active the last month or so, but she comes around, in a comforting way, if i am upset, or really stressed. she has a wonderful calming and safe effect on us. There is more, but i will save it for another day.
so that is ONE of my stories, there is another, but i don't have time to tell it now... my apologies for taking so long telling this one :) -

Re: living with ghosts...
Wed, March 10, 2004 - 10:16 PMMy daughter has a spirit that follows her. She showed up here first and was pretty much only making herself known to my youngest. When she moved into her own apartment this particular spirit followed her. She moved home in last October and her friend came back. Now she is making herself known to all members of the family. I actually put up barriers so my granddaughter & I could sleep one night because she was so active in the space. My daughter will be moving out again on the equinox and she is hoping her friend stays here so her poor cat can relax again.

Re: living with ghosts...
Sat, August 7, 2004 - 8:42 AMSure, ghosts attach themselves to people all the time. Fortunately, yours seems to be fairly benign. Often, this will happen after forays into graveyards by ghost photographers and EVP collectors when they neglect to tell the ghosts to get out of the car and that they aren't welcome to travel outside the cemetery.

Re: living with ghosts...
Wed, May 24, 2006 - 7:02 PM*has anyone ever heard of a ghost/spirit following you home?*
This is a recent experience in my current flat here in SF. There is a strong male presence here that came in throught the front door one day. Not sure which one of us he came in with, but he really seems to be lost. He's very persistant with his energy--as though there is something he needs to be doing or somewhere he's supposed to be going. Sometimes he follows RIGHT behind me all the way down our long front hallway--kind of like he's breathing down my neck. It might be because he knows I know he's there. I've cleansed the flat since he came and he disapeared for a while (my mind shutting him off perhaps?). He's definately back, though. When I cleansed, I let him know that this isn't where his unfinished business is--that he needs to leave and find his destiny elsewhere... I don't know what else to do. Maybe his unfinished business IS here... -

Re: living with ghosts...
Mon, February 2, 2004 - 10:09 AMI had a freaky experience when I lived in a haunted dorm back in 1993.
I was walking from my room to the commonroom, probably around 3 in the morning, and there was no one else around at all. The buildign had been around since the late 1800s, so you could hear when someone was walking behind you. I was going down the hall and there was the sound of someone folloing me. I stepped and turned around and the sound stopped. I started again, and it started again. This went on four or five more times, and then I made it to the Commonroom, when I heard the footsteps speed up and continue down the hall.
There was another moment in a bathroom that was nearly as freaky, but that was years later.

Re: living with ghosts...
Thu, April 1, 2004 - 7:07 AMHi Everyone,
I am new to the tribe. Have many stories to share. I live in a 200 year old "farm hand" house, and the house next door (my Dads) is even older. There was a Quaker meeting house and cemetary on the property at one time. Many strange things have happen between the 2 houses over the years. I will be back on later and share some of the "events" that have happened here. One very disturbing one that happened to my daughter when we first moved into this house. They say children "see" because they are still able to believe in things others set aside.

The Story of the Little Boy.....
Fri, April 2, 2004 - 6:11 AMHi Everyone,
Well I promised to tell you an incident that happened so here goes... As I said before the house I live in is about 200 years old. It was not built on this property but "moved" here from another location. It was originally put here so the farm hands would have a place to stay while working for the people that lived in the "big" house next door. Many people have lived in this house over the years. My husband and I just recently moved here about 7 years ago when my Father's health started to fail. We moved here to help out with his care. As I said my Dad owns both of these houses and the property surrounding them. At the time we moved here my oldest daughter was 7 and my youngest had just turned 6. The lay out of this house is very typical of its period. Very small, every space used to its fullest. This incident occured upstairs. When you go upstairs you first reach a landing at the top of the stairs, then you go through a doorway which enters into the first bedroom. Following that you go through another doorway which takes you into the second bedroom, another doorway into the third bedroom. There is no hallway like in modern houses today. The girls took the first bedroom for their own, my husband and I took the second bedroom, the third was used for storage. We had lived here about a month or two settling in. Nothing strange or unusual had happened so far. The girls had been acting a little out of sorts but we figured that was due to the move and changing schools and such until one day my oldest daughter starting asking us questions at the dinner table... She said, "Mommmy who is the little boy that keeps wanting to play with us???" We didn't understand what she was talking about we assumed it was some little boy at school. So I asked her, "What little boy???" She said, "The one upstairs in your bedroom". Ok at this point I got a little freaked out, I thought she had had a dream or something and was imagining it. But she insisted and said that, "No every night he comes and wants to play with me and Emily and we keep telling him no and he looks sad". I asked her what he looked like and she said,"Just a little boy dressed in really wierd clothes, he says he is lonely and has noone to play with". I asked her if she was afraid of this little boy and she said yes because he gets mad when we don't want to play so we shut the door. (My husband had put a door between our bedroom and theirs for privacy reasons) She told us that the little boy came every night to play but if they kept the door shut he wouldn't come. This went on for some time, our bedroom door was always kept shut and the girls only mentioned it in passing once and awhile. The reason this incident comes to mind now is because who ever this little boy is he's back again. My daughters are older now and had not mentioned anything about the little boy in quite awhile. We had been keeping the bedroom door open until just about a week ago when something happened. My girls were upstairs in bed and talking away and joking around as kids will do when it is bedtime. My husband and I were downstairs watching tv when all of the sudden we heard a big slam and the girls came running and screaming downstairs. They told us that our bedroom door just slammed shut for no reason. My husband went upstairs to check it out and found nothing. We finally convinced the girls that it was just the wind (we had 2 windows open because it was a nice warm Spring evening)and they went back upstairs and went to sleep only after they had "barricaded" our bedroom door with a rocker and stool. Once again they refuse to sleep upstairs without the door being closed. We have asked them why but they just tell us we wouldn't believe them anyway. They would be surprised. We have tried doing research on this house to see if a little boy ever lived here but due to the fact that it was moved here from another location from which we don't know where it has been difficult to find out any history on the house except what my Dad can tell me about it and thats not much. So my sister, who has joined in to help, and I continue to look. Maybe someday we can find what we are looking for and give this little boy a name...
I will have more stories to share later.

Sat, August 7, 2004 - 8:45 AMOur home is kind of a Netherworld Grand Central Station. We get spirits passing through here all the time, more often than not, they're not very nice. They seem to take over the place in October; that's when we sometimes see them manifest. -

Re: living with ghosts...
Sun, March 6, 2005 - 7:53 PMToo make a very long story short, "Bob" came to live with us after the boys broke up some concrete down the street. He made his presence known in the middle of the night. His energy activated the two remote control cars that had been siitting on the shelf for months. THe older son ran upstair to my bedroom screaming and absolutely bewildered. The younger son, about 8 or 9, was cowered in the corner of the top bunk screaming and shaking uncontrollably.
I finally calmed them down and we got back to sleep, in my bed.
The boys wouldn't sleep in their room for some time. Their older sister went to have a "slumber" party with them downstair, eat pizza, have ice cream etc..create a fun party.
It seemed to work. Other thing happened down in that room, which I will not go into. We all knew Bob was there. He wasn't happy.
One day I decided to go downstair until "Bob" showed up. I puttered around, did things in my boys bedroom they never did...put flowers on the table, sprayed perfume on the pillows, little "girlie" things. It was when I turned and looked back as I was leaving that I saw "Bob". Bob wasn't a Bob at all, but a Bernice. She was happy, and the boys knew it was a girl, not a Bob. They didn't want to believe it at first, but finally came around. Then they started taking flowers to their room. Bernice finally left as abruptly as she appeared.
May your angry spirit is not a little boy, at all.

Re: living with ghosts...
Mon, June 6, 2005 - 7:08 PMhere i am, a few months later..
the most clarified incident i have had with a ghost was when i was in high school. my friend, hilary and i went to visit her mother in northern california. we were staying in the study/guest bedroom sleeping on the floor. behind hilary was a sliding glass door and i was facing her..she was facing me and behind me was the door.
as we lay there, i felt a presence and just knew that someone was behind me. i looked at hilary and she was looking behind me, obviously noticing something also. when i turned to look...the thing (with shape but without..know what i mean?) went out..through the closed door.
we were so scared, but im not sure if she remembers this or not, maybe i'll ask her.
i also have some pictures of my son with ectoplasm and orbs in them. i think his guardian angels...

Re: living with ghosts...
Fri, August 19, 2005 - 6:41 PMHi there...my name is Samantha and I'm new to this tribe...
I've had a few expereinces..but nothing extremley scary...All of them except one I didn't know what it was until AFTER it was all said and done.
I've lived in the same apt. complex for almost 10 years (different apartments), and there have been alot of deaths in the complex. My friend B and I used to walk around at night, and in this one area we'd always get this same smell (burnt hair and fruit loops-don't ask that's as close as we could peg it) and a sense of being watched.. Never during the day, but always at night. It was between two of the buildings, and was always much darker then the rest of the complex. We did learn later that someone had died around that area. Also, the cabana is haunted, there's been sightings by the management team, and a general creepiness when we'd spend the night. When we were younger a group of us used to play 'light as a feather stiff as a board' in there, and we always wondered why it worked so much better in one area then the other. The area where it did work was where we later learned the sightings had been more often that not.
When I went away to college I lived in an apartment complex in Vancouver WA that was made use into a dorm. There'd been rumors of a little girl that had died in the one across the hall from me, and my friend Brooke that lived there said occasionaly she'd see her out of the corner of her eye, and when she turned to look, shed be gone. In my apartment, I was sitting at the kitchen table doing some homework at about 10pm. All the doors and windows were shut, and it was only my roomate Deena and I there. We were both sitting at the table. All of the sudden a breeze came through, not hard, but enough to move my hair and give me a chill down my back. I asked Deena if she felt that, but she hadn't. Also above my bedroom door, and above the front door was a cross in some sort of shiny substance (like someone tried to bless or annoint the rooms) ..very weird.
I have no clue about the above two..they may not be real, but this next one...I'd swear my life on it lol.
I was spending the night in my grandma's house. Since my grandma lived there, there has been two major deaths in the family, my grandpa tom, and my mom. The room that I stayed in was originally the garage, converted into a rec room. I've always got a weird vibe out of that room (I lived there with that as 'my room' for about a year before hand). Anyway, I was laying on the bed, (well futon) facing the wall on my side. I was not yet asleep, and I felt someone tap my on the shoulder. It wasn't a light twitch or anything, but just like someone tapping you kind of hard on the shoulder. I froze and continued to face the wall for a second, and then slowly turned over to look. OFcourse I didn't see anyone, so I said "If anyone's here, can you please either show yourself, or move on...so I can get over it and get to sleep, thanks!". I told my aunt about this , and she said "well it was either your mom or my dad".
The last expereince I've had was when I was driving in my car. It was with my friend Kate, and we had just started discussing learning about ghost hunting and the possiblity of places to go...and we decided just to go for a drive. It was really late at night. When Kate and I get together, we go to get lost, we don't care where we end up, just as long as we make it back home eventually. Well this night we ended up in Maple Valley. It was a really clear night, no clouds or anything. The road was extremly dark, so I had my brights on. We came around this corner and suddenly into a huge thing of fog. I had to slow way down to see, it went on for a long time and it was really eerie, finally up ahead we saw some lights from a road crew, and when we looked back the fog was gone. When we got home, we went to bed and didn't think to much on it. I was looking for haunted places the next day and found this thing about a place in maple valley where a there's sudden fog and a girl looking for a necklace. Kate said she thought we didn't see the girl because of the road crew, but who knows what it was...
Anyway those are my expereinces thus far. -

Interesting stories. In reading the tap on your shoulder story, it was pretty brave of you to not respond in fear and keep your wits about you enough to ask questions of the presence. As interested as I am about ghosts and the supernatural, I would still freak as my first reaction. I need to work on that. Good job! and thanks for sharing your experiences.

Sat, August 27, 2005 - 10:05 PMI have had many experiences The Rose Cottage Family of Ghosts; The Biker Gang Entity; The Duntroon Demon; The Water Lady; The Kapunda Priest; Sophia Campbell story;
Haunted Hearse communications; Jane Wright story; The door impression; The Suffocation entity; The hallway ghost ............
I put titles to them like a story because I have had so many experiences and wouldn't know where to start.
Just a quick one......when I sleep in for too long in the morning eg post 9am; I hear the phone go or my grandmother call my name. My mother who sleeps near one of the phones says it never rang........and my grandmother died in 1966.
I also awoke one morning early about 7am and all of a sudden hundreds of little zips of light about two inches long sped up towards the ceiling - reds, greens, whites, yellows, purples etc...off my blanket. Even my dog was watching them. They were tiny faeries.......... -

Re: living with ghosts...
Fri, April 21, 2006 - 3:25 PMi'm sorry about the length of this rambling story, but i'd like to tell about it...
i used to live in irwin pa... the town is very old... it has a few mansions that were built in the 1670's. it was named by the irwin family around 1845 when the train came thru... but it was called something else before this.
i lived in a house off the lower side of a mountain hugging road that’s now called 'broadway ave.' that’s the extension into the wooded area off of third street. my house shows up on a 1700's map of the area and was used for coal miners housing. the next door neighbor has in his yard the original well for the whole town... just down the street a little the original cold house for the town is still there in the mountainside... down the hill in the backyard of my house is a beautiful stream...
just giving you the feel for the place...
we used to go down to the 'creek' and finds lots of fun old pieces of history. i found a 1900 penny sticking up on its edge in the 'creek' and pieces of old button up shoes and some old much rusted animal traps...
when i first moved into the house, i dreamed of an old man with wild hair that told me his name was 'jumping jack laser' and that he 'had buried his monies in glass jars in the yard at the back of the house. i didn't think much of this dream because the name 'laser' seemed too modern. then in the local library i found that one of the original settlers of the town was named 'laser'.
i got a metal detector and went into the back yard (about an acre) and looked to see what i could find... i found lots of stuff, but most of it was old fencing and lantern parts... hinges and handles, nails, bottles and crap. but i did not come across the jars...
my roommate got a good job offer in california and had gone ahead, while i stayed behind to sell the house and get things in order before i joined him. i was feeling sad one day while i was getting ready for work and showering ... i was suprised by the feeling of a hand on my shoulder... it was warm and had weight behind it... i wasn't scared at all because somehow i recognized the touch and found it very comforting.
after a while i felt the hand lifted and felt much better about the day...
no one was there in the house with me, and i could not tell you who it felt like... only that it was very familiar and very comforting.

Re: living with ghosts...
Thu, July 6, 2006 - 2:28 AMWell, at least some of these might be some kind of strange auditory or visual phenomena while waking up. I just say that because every once in a while I'll wake up while hearing the sound of my doorbell clear as day. Sometimes I *do* get woken up by random people selling something, people wanting to talk about their religion, and so on. But most of the time I'll go to the door, look out the peephole, see nothing, open the door, and again, no one. And it would take someone leaving my doorway at least 10 seconds to get out of sight even if they were running. This also happened several times when it was so early clearly no one would be at the door. And the doorbell sound as I heard it was also as loud as if I was near the ringer, even if I was in the bedroom with the door closed.
Not saying it to debunk everything, but just another possibility.

Re: living with ghosts...
Thu, July 6, 2006 - 2:37 AMThere's one house my uncle lived in when I was a kid (late 70's) that had a couple interesting events. I had one encounter that might be explainable in some way, but a bit harder to "prove."
One time my uncle was fixing the hot water heater in the basement of the house (it was an old rowhome built in the late 1800's in Nanticoke, PA -- NE PA "coal country." He was alone at the time, but while working heard the front door close and then footsteps across the living room and into the kitchen (which was above him). He called out for his wife, assuming she was home. He called out a couple times, but heard nothing in reply. He said he didn't think anything much of it and kept working. Then he heard the door close again and someone walking upstairs. He called out again for his wife, and she came down the stairs to talk to him. He asked her why she ignored him earlier -- she said she'd just gotten home.
Another night in the same house, my uncle and his wife were in bed, and he was watching tv when the metal detector he kept under his bed switched on. I'd seen this thing first-hand, and a thick plastic switch had to be turned to switch it on -- there was no way it was coming on on its own. -

Re: living with ghosts...
Tue, July 18, 2006 - 4:09 PMhi all this is my first post here...my experiences are all small and not scary (which is good) but here is the most recent: my mom'd godmother died and the funeral home called my mother (who is a hairdresser) and left a message on the answering machine to call him because the family wanted my mother to do her hair. well until my mother finally returned the call, our television kept turning itself on and off....it stopped the second she called back. later that night i said something like "i guess mary really wanted you to do her hair" and the tv flashed off and on one time...even spirits have a sense of humor!

Re: living with ghosts...
Thu, July 20, 2006 - 4:54 PMhello all, fascinating stories. Here are a few of my experiences...I was visiting my cousin in Tennesee we were sitting and talking on her couch she has a small table to the right of the couch and we had our drinks sitting there. pepsi cans-then without any air or windows open and it was an almost full can mind you one of the cans started moving across the table by itself it moved from one end to the other and suddenly stopped. We weren't really freaked out because it seems that playful ghosts follow her. I wish i could say the same for me. I was at home sleeping one night in my bed and I woke up to see a small figure standing at the foot of my bed, then it moved super quickly to my side and stared at me wide eyed and intensely as if it was trying to say "Can you see me?" It was a little boy about 6 or 7 I'd say. I sensed that there was something he wanted to show me, he wanted me to follow him but I was scared because I felt that wherever he would lead me wouldn't be good. He was still staring straight at me and he got angry that I wouldn't come he opened his mouth to say something and I closed my eyes and said go away. I've moved and haven't seen him anymore. I realize that maybe I could've helped him or something but I was so scared I could not move. In some ways i regret being so scared.

Re: living with ghosts...
Thu, July 20, 2006 - 5:00 PMA few friends and I were driving around and where we live we usually drive up through dirt roads and hollers. Well, it was late at night and we were driving on this old road, I was in the backseat. We came upon someone walking up the road in the direction that we were going they had a strange gray glow to them it was an old man with a miner's cap on and dressed in a coverall. It scared the hell out of us because he came out of nowhere as we passed him I looked over and then back at him and he just vanished. I did a little research and there is an old abandoned mine about half a mile from where we were. I told my friends about it, we just discussed everything over and over there were four others besides me who were in the car and saw it and who saw it vanish. -

Re: living with ghosts...
Thu, April 5, 2007 - 3:57 PMok ok i will share, i lived in a very hunted house in ALAMEDA CA. i remember when i was growing up there was a very uneasy feeling in my room at 12pm to about 3am it felt like someone what watching you. and in the bathroom it was the same feeling. i also felt my grandparnts around me after thay died but i still feel them. but that is anoter story me being like a ghost magnet and all. but let's get back to the house shell we yes ok there where lights flikering off and on music comeing on by it self things moveing from one place to another but the freakist thing happend to a friend of mine in the house. he was asleep and his girlfriend went to take a shower. then he said he felt like his girlfriend was there touching him and doing uncenserod stuff if you know what i mean i walked in and saw the covers movieg and then his girlfriend came to the room and acused him of cheating we both just stood there as he explaind that he thought it was her and he got up and then nothing was there. he then got confused and then the radio turnd on by it's self and it look as if someone was sitting on the bed. he got soooo freaked out that he ran out without his close on and his girlfriend had to go get him and caulm him down and say everything is going to be ok. from then on he never felt his ghost lover again.

Re: living with ghosts...
Sat, June 6, 2009 - 1:26 PMwhen i was about 13 my family moved into a house in pennsylvania. this house right off the bat wasnt right. when we where moving in we got most of the stuff unpacked and decided to go out to eat, when we returned home the rest of the boxes were turned up side down and the doors where still locked. that was the first thing that happened. my dad went down in the basement to get something and two things flew at him it was a necromicon book and a coin that said goose on it, both items where not ours. my mom and dad were sleeping and something woke my dad. now mind you my brother was 5yrs old at the time so my dad thought it was him because there was a little boy sitting on the edge of his bed. he said, "Paul(my brothers name)what are you doing up so late?" the boy slowly turned to look at him, then stood up and ran towards the wall and vanished. my father wasn't ever a believer in paranormal until that night. i remember lying in bed and hearing what sounded like chains dragging across the attic floor and a women screaming. my 2 older sisters and i were the only ones home the one day and my sisters decided to play on a giouja board that they bought without my parents knowledge. they had been talking to a young boy, they asked the question what is your name and he said "jaime". they then asked him where he was at and he said here. they asked again and he said behind chrissie(my one sister)just then they got scared and threw the board and ran downstairs. when we returned to the bedroom the board was in the middle of the floor with the piece in the middle. now there is a ton of more things that happened in that house, but one of the most earry things that we found out is that back in the 70's a mother, father, and their son lived in the house. now i guess the father and mother left but the son went missing. now an old lady in the neighborhood that lived there her whole life said she remembers the family and the father always beat them and many people believed that he killed the boy and buried him somewhere on the property. i also found out that the young boys name was jaime. now i know this doesnt sound true but on my life it is. please respond. -

Re: living with ghosts...
Sat, June 6, 2009 - 8:41 PMI owned a home in Ga. from about 1986 till the late 90's . While there I would "see" the image of a woman wearing long dresses , old style , with "puffed " sholders , and her hair in a "bun" , from the corner of my eye , when I would turn to look she was not there . I sort of grew to accepted it . However I had a friend and her 2 kids move in with me . The friends daughter's boyfriend was kicked out by his parents and came to stay with us for a while .
One evening he fell asleep watching TV . We all went to bed and left him there . The next morning he told that he had awoke to see a woman standing in front of the windows looking out . Her hair long (butt length) and in a long gown . He thought it was Valarie (the friends daughter and his girl friend ) . He glanced away then turned to speak to her but no one was there . We each looked at each other and had a good laugh, which confused the poor boy until we told him about the ghost !
